Job summary

Valoris Group in London and surrounding areas seeks an experienced Heating Engineer to maintain and upgrade district heating networks for multi-occupancy properties. You will diagnose faults, replace components, and ensure reliable, compliant operation across contracts.

You will work closely with clients and colleagues, provide clear explanations of technical matters, and maintain thorough records. A proactive, safety-conscious mindset is essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of experience in heating system maintenance, repair, and installations.
  • Strong knowledge of district and communal heating systems.
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical components related to heating and plumbing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and system designs.
  • Experience in commercial and multi-occupancy property heating solutions.
  • Logical and systematic approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with HIUs would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair communal/district heating systems, replacing faulty parts, controls, and components.
  • Install and upgrade heating systems to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.

Heating Engineer District & Communal Systems

Location: London & Surrounding Areas
Salary: £34,400 - £38,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (occasional on-call shifts)

The Role What Youll Be Doing

What Were Looking For
Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2 or above in Plumbing & Heating, Mechanical Services, or HVAC (essential).
  • Unvented Hot Water Certification (advantageous).
  • ACS Gas qualifications (preferred but not essential).
