Job summary

Installio Ltd. is seeking a Heat Pump Surveyor and Designer to drive the surveying and design process for residential heat pump and solar installations across the UK.

You will lead on-site surveys, perform heat loss calculations, and tailor designs to each home to ensure energy efficiency and compliance. Ideal candidates have hands-on plumbing or renewable heating experience, excellent communication, and a willingness to work in a fast‑moving startup with occasional field work.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in heat pump systems.
• Strong knowledge of heating system design and building fabric.
• Excellent communication skills with customers.
• Familiarity with MCS standards and compliance requirements.
• Attention to detail and ability to balance efficiency with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical site surveys (on-site) to assess heat pump suitability.
• Conduct heat loss calculations and system sizing.
• Provide technical guidance to installation teams and project managers.
• Troubleshoot and refine designs based on real-world feedback from installs.
• Stay current with industry standards, products, and best practices.
