Job summary

Green Flare is seeking an experienced Heating or Heat Pump Service Engineer to take ownership of servicing, maintenance, fault finding and breakdown support for a growing portfolio of renewable heating systems. This field-based role requires diagnosing faults, carrying out planned servicing, completing repairs and optimising system performance to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience servicing and maintaining heating systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with domestic heating systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders and heating controls.
• Understanding of hydronic heating systems, weather compensation and system optimisation.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Full UK driving licence.

Job description

Location: Clevedon, Bristol, UK (covering the South West, typically within 50 miles of BS21)

Salary: £38,000–£48,000 per year (depending on experience)

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Heating or Heat Pump Service, Engineer to take ownership of servicing, maintenance, fault finding and breakdown support for our growing portfolio of renewable heating systems. This is a field-based role where you'll diagnose faults, carry out planned servicing, complete repairs and optimise system performance, ensuring customers' heating systems operate safely, reliably and efficiently. You'll work closely with our installation, design and operations teams, providing valuable technical feedback to continually improve the quality of our installations and customer experience.

• Proven experience servicing and maintaining heating systems
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience with domestic heating systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders and heating controls
• Good understanding of hydronic heating systems, weather compensation and system optimisation
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

• Experience with air & ground source heat pump systems
• Experience servicing or installing solar thermal systems
• Level 2 or 3 Plumbing & Heating qualification
• F-Gas qualification (where applicable)
• Relevant electrical qualifications or competence
