Job summary

Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Assistant Technical Officer (band 3) on a fixed-term 18-month contract at 0.6 FTE in the Hearing Implant Centre. You will work with audiologists and a multidisciplinary team to support patients with hearing implants, maintain stock, troubleshoot device issues, and assist with impressions for ear moulds, under supervision.

Qualifications

• A to C in English and Maths or equivalent.
• GCSE or equivalent.
• A to C in Science or equivalent.
• A-level, NVQ or BTEC in Health, Social, Care, English or STEM subject.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain stock of hearing devices, implants, accessories and consumables.
• Provide technical support to patients and address device issues.
• Troubleshoot faults, replace parts and processors, liaise with manufacturers.
• Keep accurate records and gather info for the surgical team.
• Take impressions for ear moulds and assist with orders.
