Job summary

Hightown Housing Association Ltd. in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a Healthy Homes Electrician to join our Asset Management team. You will undertake electrical works across our housing portfolio, from inspections to full rewires, ensuring safe, compliant homes for residents.

The role requires a Qualified Supervisor and experience with EICRs, the 18th Edition, and health and safety regulations. You will work independently, communicate effectively, mentor apprentices, and contribute to a high-quality

Qualifications

• Holds and maintains Qualified Supervisor status, such as City & Guilds 2395 or equivalent.
• Experience inspecting and testing domestic and commercial electrical installations.
• Experience working within maintenance, housing or building environments.
• Knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, building regulations and health and safety legislation.
• Ability to work independently and manage their workload effectively.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Committed to delivering a first-time fix wherever possible.
• Willing to support and mentor apprentices and colleagues when required.
• Holds a full driving licence and has access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and electrical testing programmes.
• Diagnose faults and complete electrical repairs across occupied and void properties.
• Complete full and partial rewires, electrical installations and upgrades.
• Install and maintain lighting, extractor fans, showers and other electrical equipment.
• Issuing electrical safety certificates and ensuring compliance with current regulations.
• PAT testing equipment and maintaining accurate records.
• Identify electrical hazards and supporting the resolution of property safety issues.
• Working closely with colleagues, contractors and residents to deliver a high-quality service.
• Supporting the maintenance of Hightown House and operational bases when required.
• Taking a proactive approach to health and safety and ensuring all work complies with relevant legislation and standards.

At Hightown Housing Association, we are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Healthy Homes Electrician to join our Asset Management team. In this rewarding role, you will help ensure that our homes remain safe, compliant and well maintained for the thousands of residents who rely on us.

Working across our housing portfolio, you will undertake a variety of electrical works, from inspection and testing through to repairs, rewires and installations.
