Job summary

4Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a Technical Services Manager in Manchester to ensure engineering compliance, safety and operational efficiency within a major UK facilities management setting. You will act as the on-site technical authority, bridging maintenance and long-term asset lifecycle management.

The role requires experience with PFI environments, attention to detail, and the ability to discuss compliance topics (HTM/HBN).

Qualifications

Chartered/professional membership with a relevant body or able to become chartered / hold a professional membership within 12 months.
Authorised Person (AP) qualifications in one or more critical disciplines (e.g., High Voltage, Ventilation, or Water).
Excellent knowledge and understanding of all critical mechanical and electrical systems found within a normal PFI environment (healthcare, education, blue light and government accommodation).

Responsibilities

Act as the technical authority on site alongside the maintenance provider and support asset lifecycle management.
Monitor and review maintenance compliance (statutory and HTMs) to ensure standards.
Provide expert technical support to Lifecycle Project Managers for major capital replacement works.
Maintain operational understanding of all assets and systems in a UK Healthcare environment.
Engage in technical discussions to progress issues in line with HTM/HBN and patient requirements.
Audit maintenance activity, asset replacement activity and commissioning data for compliance within the commercial setting.
