Job summary

The Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Healthcare Support Workers to join Winchester Inpatient Services. You will provide compassionate, person-centered care on our inpatient units, supporting clinicians and safeguarding patients within a busy CAMHS environment.

We offer in-house training on Attachment and Trauma, Eating Disorders and Autism, and opportunities to develop skills across two CAMHS wards—Snowdrop Ward and Serenity Path.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to inpatients on Winchester units.
• Support clinicians and contribute to a safe, therapeutic environment for CAMHS patients aged 12-18.
• Participate in in-house training on Attachment and Trauma, Eating Disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Job description

We have opportunities available at the below inpatient units:

Snowdrop Ward is a modern newly refurbished 14 bedded ward based at Melbury lodge in Winchester which provides assessment & nursing care for older persons with acute mental health difficulties. We are committed to providing an exceptional standard of treatment & patient centred care for our service users in a safe, cooperative & therapeutic environment.

Serenity Path provide support and treatment for young people aged 12-18 in Winchester, experiencing acute mental illness, such as depression and psychotic disorders whilst also specialising in supporting those with anorexia nervosa.

We provide In-house training, including programmes around Attachment and Trauma, Eating Disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
