Job summary
The Harrogate, Hambleton and Richmondshire Perinatal Team is delighted to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our specialist Perinatal Mental Health Community Team as a Community Support Worker.
The role involves supporting birthing people with mental health care, including physical health monitoring for medication, co-facilitating groups, and supporting the wider multidisciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work as part of a community perinatal multidisciplinary team, providing services to birthing people and families experiencing mental health difficulties during pregnancy and up to one year postnatal.
You will be an integral part of the service, working with a supportive team including nurses, doctors, occupational therapists, peer support workers, and others.
You will receive supervision, safeguarding, line management, and professional development opportunities.
Given the geographical area covered, applicants must be able to travel independently and have access to a suitable vehicle, with adjustments considered under the Equality Act 2010.
