The Harrogate, Hambleton and Richmondshire Perinatal Team is pleased to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our specialist Perinatal Mental Health Community Team as a Community Support Worker.
The role involves supporting birthing people with all aspects of their mental health care, including physical health monitoring for medication, co-facilitating groups, and supporting the wider multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidates will be part of the community perinatal multidisciplinary team, providing services to birthing people and families experiencing mental health difficulties during pregnancy and up to one year postnatal.
You will support the needs of birthing people and their families, working alongside nurses, doctors, occupational therapists, peer support workers, nursery nurses, pharmacists, and psychologists.
Training and supervision will be provided, including clinical supervision, safeguarding supervision, line management, and personal and professional development through appraisals.
Due to the geographical area covered, applicants must be able to travel independently and have access to a suitable vehicle for work purposes. Adjustments can be considered under the Equality Act 2010.
