NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) for the Ophthalmology outpatient department. The successful candidate will support nurses in providing care, work in a dynamic team, and require good communication skills and a willingness to learn.

Job description

The shift pattern for this position is Mon to Fri.

(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic HCSW based in the Ophthalmology outpatient department of Stobhill Hospital/GRI. The successful candidate will be expected to work as part of the Ophthalmology team, supporting the registered nursing team and be involved in all care needs within the outpatient setting. You will be required to work within a busy clinical areas working collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team. HSCW experience is desirable not essential as full training will be given. You are required to be flexible, forward thinking and able to work effectively within changing and dynamic environment. You should have excellent communication with an eagerness to learn. An interest in the specialty is essential. If you have the desired skills and motivations to successfully fulfil this position, we would welcome your application.
