Job Overview

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, one of the UK's largest healthcare systems, is seeking 2 Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) to join the School Immunisation Team. These permanent, term-time positions involve working from mid-August to mid-April, with shifts from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM or 4:00 PM, based on an annualised hours contract.

Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the smooth operation of immunisation sessions/clinics.
  2. Maintain cold chain procedures and stock management.
  3. Communicate effectively with children, young people, education colleagues, parents, and carers.
  4. Contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of immunisations across Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience working with children is preferred.
  • Interest in Public Health and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and IT confidence.
  • Full training will be provided.
Additional Details
  • Positions cover different service areas: East Renfrewshire and South Glasgow, North West Glasgow, and West Dunbartonshire.
  • This role requires PVG Scheme Membership / Disclosure Scotland Check.
  • Note: This role does not qualify for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa.
