NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
This is a permanent, term-time position.
The shift pattern for this position is Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:30/16:00, from mid-August to mid-April, with an annualised contract.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) to join the School Immunisation Team.
HCSWs are responsible for ensuring the smooth running of immunisation sessions/clinics, maintaining cold chain procedures, ordering stocks and supplies, and communicating regularly with children, young people, education colleagues, parents, and carers. HCSWs contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of immunisations to children across Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
Applicants should have experience working with children, an interest in Public Health, and a desire to work within a skill mix team. Excellent communication skills and confidence in IT are essential. Full training will be provided.

This is a permanent position with an annualised hours contract from mid-August to mid-April (8 months), working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:30/16:00.
Salary is annualised over 12 months and paid at 24.8 hours per week.
