A leading healthcare provider is seeking enthusiastic Healthcare Support Workers for their women's unit in York. This role involves supporting patient care across various clinics, ensuring a high standard of compassionate support. Successful candidates will be committed team players, capable of working flexibly to meet patient needs while contributing to a positive care environment.
Interviews for this position will be held in person ONLY. Remote interviews will not be available.

We are seeking healthcare support workers with enthusiasm, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing excellent patient-focused care on our women's unit. This is an exciting opportunity for a flexible individual to work within our women's unit, supporting clinics in the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit (EPAU), Gynaecology Assessment Unit (GAU), Colposcopy, Gynaecology, and Hysteroscopy clinics. These clinics operate Monday to Sunday from 08:30 to 19:30.
The successful candidate will be a team player with a strong desire to provide compassionate care and empower others in a friendly and supportive environment. You should work well as part of a team, use your initiative, and perform well under pressure. Candidates with an interest or experience in gynaecology are encouraged to apply.
As a Healthcare Support Worker at York Hospital, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high standards of care. You will promote patient independence and dignity to ensure a positive experience. Please refer to the attached document 'Healthcare Support Worker Key Duties' for a full list of responsibilities.
You must be able to commit to our Full-Time HCSW Academy for the first 4 weeks of employment. The academy takes place at our training site in Holgate, York. Travel costs and arrangements are not provided.
