A leading healthcare provider seeks a Transfer Team Healthcare Support Worker to assist in patient transfers within the hospital, ensuring safety and dignity. This includes direct interaction with patients and multi-disciplinary teams. The role requires commitment to a full-time training program and offers various benefits.
Job summary
The Transfer Team Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) will assist in preparing and transferring patients from the Emergency Department to the acute admission wards, from the acute admission wards to downstream wards, and from all areas of the hospital to the Patients Discharge lounge.
Transferring patients from one clinical area to another on either in a bed or a chair whilst working closely with members of the multi-disciplinary team within the clinical areas and management teams.The Transfer Team HCSW will ensure patient safety is maintained and patient experience is positive by treating all patients, relatives and colleagues with respect, dignity, and courtesy in accordance with Trust values. Ensuring at all times you act within your sphere of competence.

Main duties of the jobYou must be able to commit to our Full Time HCSW Academy for the first 4 weeks of your employment with our Trust. Please note our HCSW Academy takes place at our training site in Holgate, York. We are unable to provide travel options or reimburse travel costs for attendance at this.
