NHS Lanarkshire is advertising Modern Apprenticeships in Healthcare Support (Hospital Based). The post is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in one of three hospitals.

The role focuses on patient care, on-the-job training, and achieving a SCQF Level 6 qualification with South Lanarkshire College. Applicants should be aged 16–24 on 1 January 2027 (up to 29 with disability or care experience) and demonstrate competence at SCQF Level 5/National 5.

Qualifikationen

• Aged 16–24 on 1 January 2027 (up to 29 with disability or care experience).
• Proficiency at SCQF Level 5/National 5 level.
• Motivated and committed to completing a Modern Apprenticeship in Healthcare Support.

Aufgaben

• Monitor patients and perform basic health checks.
• Assist with meals and nutrition.
• Help patients get up and move around, and support daily activities.
• Assist with personal care, washing, oral care and bathing.
• Support patients with toileting and continence needs.
• Care for patients at the end of life as required.
