Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Service Manager to oversee a complex programme across multiple Business Units at Leeds General Infirmary. You will drive affordable solutions to capacity and quality constraints in Leeds Children's Hospital, enabling delivery of access targets and data efficiency.

The role requires strong partnership with clinical staff, commissioners and managers to redesign services and processes, ensuring timescales are met and benefits realised.

Qualifications

• Experience working under significant and sustained pressure with demanding timescales.
• Ability to monitor, maintain and improve service delivery.
• Awareness of NHS changes and their impact on Leeds Children’s Hospital.
• Commitment to teamwork with personal responsibility for difficult decisions.
• Ability to communicate and network effectively across multi-professional and organisational cultures.
• Have change management skills to include service reconfiguration.
• Ability to establish processes and systems to develop and monitor financial and business plans across specialist services.

Responsibilities

• Manage a complex programme of interdependent projects across more than one Business Unit to develop affordable solutions to capacity and quality constraints.
• Lead the redesign of services and business processes with stakeholder involvement to ensure timescales and benefits are realised.
• Line manage the Clinical Service Unit Business Manager and develop effective business processes.
• Develop robust activity and financial management systems to ensure business continuity and target delivery.
