Job summary

phs Group plc is hiring a Healthcare Service Driver in Plymouth. You will follow pre‑planned daily routes to collect healthcare waste, service hygiene products, and complete compliance documentation while delivering courteous customer service.

The role is physically active, with early start times and a Monday–Friday schedule, no weekends. The ideal candidate holds a UK manual driving licence (12+ months), with up to 6 points, and can work 6am–6pm (40 hours/week).

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence held 12+ months.
• Maximum 6 points on licence; no DR/DD/CD/TT/IN/AC endorsements in last 5 years.
• Able to work within a 6am–6pm window (40 hours per week).
• Reliable, safety‑conscious and professional attitude.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Collect and safely handle healthcare waste (including sharps and pharmaceutical waste).
• Service and replace hygiene products within customer premises.
• Complete compliance documentation (digital and paper-based).
• Deliver professional and courteous customer service.
• Return to the depot daily to unload collected waste.

Healthcare Service Driver

Plymouth

£12.81 per hour | £26,639 + Bonus (OTE £27,839) per year | 40 hours guaranteed

Permanent | Monday to Friday | No scheduled weekends

The Healthcare Service Driver role at phs will involve:

You’ll follow a pre-planned daily route visiting healthcare and commercial customers to:

• Collect and safely handle healthcare waste (including sharps and pharmaceutical waste)
• Service and replace hygiene products within customer premises
• Complete compliance documentation (digital and paper-based)
• Deliver professional and courteous customer service
• Return to the depot daily to unload collected waste

Routes and schedules are centrally planned to ensure efficiency, safety and compliance.

This is a physically active role suited to someone who prefers being on the move.

The ideal candidate for a Healthcare Service Driver at phs will have:

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (held 12+ months)
