Job summary

phs Group is seeking a Healthcare Service Driver in Wickford to perform planned routes, collect and safely handle healthcare waste, and service hygiene products at customer sites. The role includes completing compliance documentation and delivering high-quality customer service throughout a 40-hour week.

The position is permanent, with a 6am–6pm window and no scheduled weekends. A company vehicle is provided, and there are overtime opportunities and extensive employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Holds a full UK manual driving licence (12+ months).
• No DR/DD/CD/TT/IN/AC endorsements in last 5 years and max 6 points.
• Able to work within a 6am–6pm window (40 hours per week).
• Reliable, safety-conscious and professional attitude.
• Good attention to detail in daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Follow a pre-planned daily route visiting healthcare and commercial customers.
• Collect and safely handle healthcare waste (including sharps and pharmaceutical waste).
• Service and replace hygiene products within customer premises.
• Complete compliance documentation (digital and paper-based).
• Deliver professional and courteous customer service and return to the depot daily to unload collected waste.

Healthcare Service Driver

Wickford

£13.68 per hour | £28,461 (OTE £29,661) per year | 40 hours guaranteed

Permanent | Monday to Friday | No scheduled weekends

The Healthcare Service Driver role at phs will involve:

You’ll follow a pre-planned daily route visiting healthcare and commercial customers to:

• Collect and safely handle healthcare waste (including sharps and pharmaceutical waste)
• Service and replace hygiene products within customer premises
• Complete compliance documentation (digital and paper-based)
• Deliver professional and courteous customer service
• Return to the depot daily to unload collected waste

Routes and schedules are centrally planned to ensure efficiency, safety and compliance.

This is a physically active role suited to someone who prefers being on the move.

The ideal candidate for a Healthcare Service Driver at phs will have:

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (held 12+ months)
• Maximum 6 points (no DR/DD/CD/TT/IN/AC endorsements in last 5 years)
