Job summary

phs Group in Plymouth is seeking a Healthcare Service Driver to join a permanent, Monday-to-Friday role. You will collect healthcare waste, service hygiene products, and complete compliance paperwork while delivering excellent customer service.

The position runs 6am–6pm (40 hours), offers a company vehicle and a supported benefits package with 23 days holiday plus bank holidays and bonus potential. Training and progression are available.

Qualifications

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence held 12+ months.
• Maximum 6 points (no DR/DD/CD/TT/IN/AC endorsements in last 5 years).
• Able to work within a 6am–6pm window (40 hours per week).
• Reliable, safety-conscious and professional.
• Good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Collect and safely handle healthcare waste (including sharps and pharmaceutical waste).
• Service and replace hygiene products within customer premises.
• Complete compliance documentation (digital and paper-based).
• Deliver professional and courteous customer service.
• Return to the depot daily to unload collected waste.

£12.81 per hour | £26,639 + Bonus (OTE £27,839) per year | 40 hours guaranteed

Permanent | Monday to Friday | No scheduled weekends

The Healthcare Service Driver role at phs will involve:

You’ll follow a pre-planned daily route visiting healthcare and commercial customers to:

• Collect and safely handle healthcare waste (including sharps and pharmaceutical waste)
• Service and replace hygiene products within customer premises
• Complete compliance documentation (digital and paper-based)
• Deliver professional and courteous customer service
• Return to the depot daily to unload collected waste

Routes and schedules are centrally planned to ensure efficiency, safety and compliance.

This is a physically active role suited to someone who prefers being on the move.

The ideal candidate for a Healthcare Service Driver at phs will have:

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (held 12+ months)
• Maximum 6 points (no DR/DD/CD/TT/IN/AC endorsements in last 5 years)
• Able to work within a 6am–6pm window (40 hours per week)
