Job summary

Ramboll UK Healthcare is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer to lead design delivery on hospital and healthcare projects across the UK and internationally. You will combine hands‑on engineering excellence with people leadership, shaping low‑carbon building services and ensuring high standards of digital delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical/building services engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered status or progression toward MCIBSE/MIMechE/MIHEEM; Ramboll supports chartership.
• Proven track record delivering mechanical building services on healthcare/high‑resilience schemes.
• Strong Revit/BIM 360 capability and digital delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and delivery for healthcare projects from concept to handover.
• Mentor and develop small to medium technical teams.
• Oversee MEP coordination and BIM delivery using Revit/BIM 360; MagiCad/IES.
• Produce design calculations, specifications and drawings to required standards.
• Act as client‑facing technical lead in meetings and maintain relationships.
• Manage project scope, resources, and risks (technical and commercial).
• Support business development with proposals and inputs.
• Champion sustainability and zero‑carbon design; QA and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams and external partners to raise Ramboll profile.
