Job summary

Ramboll UK Healthcare is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design for hospital projects in the UK and internationally. You will deliver resilient, low‑carbon building services and coordinate BIM workflows while acting as a client‑facing technical lead.

You will manage and mentor small to mid‑sized teams, drive MEP coordination using Revit/BIM 360, and contribute to business development and sustainability goals in a collaborative, design‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Healthcare/building services experience on complex projects.
• Chartered status or progress towards MCIBSE/MIMechE/MIHEEM with chartership support.
• Strong Revit/BIM 360 capability and digital delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and delivery for healthcare projects from concept to handover.
• Mentor and develop small/medium technical teams.
• Coordinate MEP BIM delivery using Revit/BIM 360 and related tools.
• Produce detailed design calculations, specs and drawings to standards.
• Act as client-facing technical lead and manage project scope/resources.
