Job summary

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a Maintenance Assistant at Barnet Lane Clinic, Borehamwood. You will help maintain buildings, facilities and equipment, with a focus on safety and reliability for residents, staff and visitors.

The role requires a full UK driving license, a 37.5 hour week (Mon-Fri 9-5 with possible 8-4 shifts), and a team-oriented approach. The position offers a stable salary and a strong benefits package to support wellbeing and development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a maintenance role.
• Good DIY skills to ensure safety of residents.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Demonstrate courtesy and respect to residents at all times.
• Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with ensuring that the service, buildings, facilities and equipment requirements are maintained and fit for purpose.
• Utilising good DIY skills to ensure safety of service users is maintained.
• Assisting in regular checks and maintenance.
• Assisting in the repair and maintenance of all buildings.
• Liaising with a manager reporting all faults and defects.
• Participating in a 1 week retaining on-call rota for emergency maintenance.
• Coordinating and supporting contractors whilst on site and completing all paperwork and tool checks.
