Job summary

Equans is seeking an Operations Manager to join our team at North Middlesex University Hospital on a permanent basis. You will lead the delivery of facilities management services, manage a multi-disciplinary team and ensure contract compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, a track record in hard FM with an electrical bias, excellent financial controls, and the ability to work with stakeholders across clinical and non-clinical staff to drive continuous

Qualifications

• Proven background in Facilities Management.
• Healthcare experience is desirable.
• PFI/Electrical bias knowledge preferred.
• Understanding of Local Authority legislation.
• Strong verbal, written and numeric skills; computer literate.
• DBS Basic check required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver services to the highest standard and manage staff to ensure contract compliance.
• Oversee financial performance, including penalties, budgets and commercial activity.
• Exercise financial and commercial controls to manage expenditure and income.
• Maximise profitability and deliver cost savings.
• Lead budgets, business plans and departmental strategies for service provision.
• Manage HR issues in liaison with the contract HR Manager and ensure timely appraisals and disciplinary actions.
• Lead service delivery and customer interaction to reflect quality and professionalism.
• Oversee subcontracted services and ensure safe, contract-compliant performance; conduct service reviews.
• Prepare quotations and tenders for additional work; handle accounts post-projects.
