Job summary

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a Maintenance Lead to manage two specialist healthcare services at St Neots Neurological Centre. You will lead a maintenance team, prioritise workloads, and ensure repairs are completed safely and efficiently on site.

You will support PPMe programmes, coordinate contractors, and drive a strong health & safety culture while helping with administrative tasks and budget monitoring. This is a hands-on leadership role in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance within a hospital or similar environment.
• City & Guilds qualification in Electrical, Plumbing or Building.
• Strong managerial and communication skills.
• Practical and adaptable; can respond to changing priorities.
• Good physical health and ability to lift heavy loads.
• Conscientious, team-focused and able to work independently.
• Knowledge of statutory fire, electrical and health & safety regulations.
• English language skills to GCSE level D or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the maintenance team to deliver high standards of maintenance.
• Oversee day-to-day maintenance activities and prioritise workloads.
• Support Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programmes and compliance.
• Coordinate on-site contractors and ensure safe, timely project completion.
• Identify faults and coordinate repairs to keep buildings compliant and safe.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture across the site.
• Support administrative processes including purchase orders, invoicing and budget monitoring.
• Attend Health & Safety, Clinical Governance and Senior Management Team meetings as required.
