Job summary

Elysium Healthcare is seeking an experienced Hospital Director for St Neots Neurological Centre. You will lead both clinical and operational teams to deliver excellent care while driving financial and quality performance.

The role covers strategy, governance and engagement with purchasers and referrers to grow the service. You will serve as Registered Manager, working with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure compliance with CQC expectations while championing service development and market

If you are an experienced Hospital Director or Senior Leader with a strong background in leading high performing teams, developing new services and looking for a new opportunity to put your mark on an established neurological service, then St Neots Neurological Centre is the perfect next step in your career.

Located in the picturesque market town of St Neots, and easily accessible from Cambridge, Peterborough and Bedford, St Neots Neurological Centre is a purpose-built Hospital catering for adults over the age of 18, specialising in acquired brain injury and progressive neurological conditions.

You will be leading and managing full clinical and operational teams, ensuring excellent care is delivered and maintained, and ensuring quality and financial targets are met.

As the Hospital Director at

St Neots Neurological Centre, you will be the Registered Manager and have overall leadership and management responsibility of the service. Lead the neurological multidisciplinary team, and be responsible for operational performance whilst continuing to develop commercial opportunities with purchasers and referrers.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Facilitating the development of quality healthcare services, ensuring that they respond to the changing needs of purchasers and patients, and also reflect market trends and evidence-based practice.
  • Ensuring both quality and financial targets are met,
  • Leading the senior management team on site, developing local strategy of the service, ensuring adherence to the service’s objectives, quality improvement and business plans.
  • Promoting and enhancing the hospital’s reputation for specialist care and service
  • Fulfilling the role of Registered Manager as per CQC expectations
  • Engagement with Provider Collaboratives
To be successful as Hospital Director, you will:
  • Have a excellent track record in a management role within the healthcare sector
  • A background in and understanding of neurological Care
  • An excellent track record in a management role within the healthcare sector (essential).
  • An emphasis on performance and delivery in order to support successful service delivery and development, budget control, business development and revenue generation.
  • A credible, inclusive and supportive management style balanced with strong leadership and sound underpinning knowledge to provide direction and implement change.
  • Knowledge of clinical and non-clinical operational activities within a health sector organisation.
  • Working knowledge of the NHS and Independent Healthcare sectors.
  • A sound understanding of governance and regulation to deliver strong operational and clinical excellence
