Devon Partnership Trust in Exeter is seeking a Facilities Assistant to help keep our buildings clean, safe and welcoming for patients, staff and visitors while supporting catering and other essential services.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Hygiene required.
• Level 2 or equivalent in Hospitality/cleaning and support services, or willing to achieve qualification.
• Basic IT Skills expected.
• Hospital cleaning techniques knowledge.
• Food Hygiene/safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning duties within the allocated department of work and associated areas in accordance with the departmental cleaning schedule, National Cleaning Standards and including specialist cleaning as required by Infection Control.
• Assist with ad hoc light Portering duties.
• Checking equipment to be used and displaying warning signs to comply with the Health and Safety Regulations.
• Ensuring correct waste segregation disposal procedures in accordance with Trust policy.
• Regeneration and serving of food, beverage preparation and associated duties.
• Distribution and collection of linen to wards and departments and other associated laundry duties.
• Completion of Trust and departmental paperwork in accordance with standing instructions.
• Assistance with Health, Safety, Hygiene and monitoring checks/audits.
• To observe Food Hygiene Legislation, hospital and client policies and procedures at all times, reporting any faults, defects or operational issues to the Supervisor/Manager/Client representative.
• Engagement with all training programmes/courses relevant to the role.
