Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Domestic Supervisor in Domestic Services to direct a domestic team to healthcare cleaning standards and manage daily schedules, including short-notice cover and patient discharge green cleans.

You will require NVQ Level 3 in leadership (or willingness to study), prior supervisory cleaning experience, and knowledge of COSHH. The role emphasizes training, quality checks, and working within financial parameters set by the line manager.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in leadership or equivalent must be held or pursued.
• Supervisory cleaning experience in healthcare settings.
• Knowledge of COSHH and health & safety basics.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and direct a domestic team to follow SOPs, safety and patient care.
• Oversee completion of all patient discharge green cleans.
• Ensure infection control cleaning requests are actioned and documented.
• Arrange cover for absences and adjust daily service on short notice.
• Train and induct staff in equipment, chemicals and methods; attend training.
• Plan complex cleaning tasks with risk assessments (e.g., hydrogen peroxide fogging).
• Conduct staff interviews covering appraisal, sickness, discipline, grievance.
• Operate within financial parameters set by line manager; explain variances.
• Sanction holidays within agreed allowances.
• Carry out quality control checks and remedial action.
• Monitor consumables usage and storage; requisition stock.
• Report accidents and defects; liaise with service users and managers.
