Job summary

The Medinet Group is looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join weekend outpatient support at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. You will welcome patients, assist clinicians, and ensure clinics run smoothly across Dermatology, Gynaecology, Cardiology, Ophthalmology and Urology.

Hours are Saturdays and Sundays, with a fixed-term contract until April 2027. A focus on patient care, IT accuracy and professional communication will help ensure safe, welcoming visits.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or healthcare is welcome but not essential.
• A genuine passion for patient care.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly with patient information.
• Confidence using IT systems.
• Good communication skills and a calm, professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and preparing them for their appointments.
• Supporting clinicians during consultations and procedures, including chaperoning.
• Preparing, cleaning and restocking clinic rooms to infection control standards.
• Recording patient information accurately on our IT systems.
• Helping clinics run smoothly and on time.

The role

You’ll work at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, supporting our weekend outpatient clinics across Dermatology, Gynaecology, Cardiology, Ophthalmology and Urology. Working alongside consultants, nurses and the clinic team, you’ll make sure every patient has a safe, welcoming and well organised visit.

• Welcoming patients and preparing them for their appointments
• Supporting clinicians during consultations and procedures, including chaperoning
• Preparing, cleaning and restocking clinic rooms to strict infection control standards
• Recording patient information accurately on our IT systems
• Helping clinics run smoothly and on time

What we offer
