Job summary

Circle Health Group in Stirling is seeking a Healthcare Assistant for the Theatre department at Kings Park Hospital. This full-time, 37.5-hour-per-week role is permanent with a salary of up to £27,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

You will assist with personal care, support meals, monitor vital signs after training, and help with wound care and mobility. You’ll work closely with nurses, doctors, therapists and admin teams to ensure safe, compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

  • Previous care or health support experience.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and escalate as needed.
  • Basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
  • Physically able to undertake duties including moving and handling.
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care and mobility needs.
  • Help patients with eating, drinking and nutritional support, documenting intake where appropriate.
  • Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and relatives, ensuring a caring environment.
  • Carry out and record routine observations (blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature, SpO2, glucose) after training.
  • Support basic clinical procedures (wound care setup, catheter care, pressure area prevention, mobility aids).
  • Prepare and maintain clinical areas, including trolleys, beds and equipment.
  • Work with nurses, doctors, therapists and admin teams to support safe patient care.

Kings Park Hospital in Stirling is part of Circle Health Group , Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join their team of staff in theTheatre department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern. Part time hours can be discussed at interview.

Duties of this role include:

Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care, and mobility needs, respecting their preferences and dignity.

Help patients with eating, drinking, and nutritional support, including documenting intake where appropriate.

Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and relatives, creating a caring and safe environment.

Carry out and accurately record routine observations such as blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature, oxygen saturation, and blood glucose levels (after appropriate training).

Support basic clinical procedures, including wound care setup, assisting with catheter care, pressure area prevention, and mobility aids.

Prepare and maintain clinical areas, including trolleys, beds, and equipment in readiness for patient use.

Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, therapists, and admin teams to support safe and efficient patient care

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

Previous experience in a care or health support role (hospital, care home, community, or domiciliary).

Good communication and interpersonal skills with a caring, compassionate attitude.

Ability to follow instructions and escal ...?
