Job summary

Circle Health Group's Bath Clinic is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join the Theatre department on a 37.5 hour per week, permanent basis.

You will assist in delivering safe care, prepare theatres, support patients through their surgical pathway, and work with the multidisciplinary team while adhering to NMC/HCPC guidance. In return you will receive a salary up to £25,836 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a clinical or healthcare support role.
• Good verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate, patient-centred approach.
• Willingness to undertake training and competency development in theatre-specific care.
• Understanding of infection control, safeguarding, and basic health and safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering safe and effective care across the theatre department, supporting patients throughout their surgical pathway.
• Prepare theatres for procedures, including equipment checks, stock preparation, and ensuring the environment is clean and ready.
• Engage with patients in a respectful, dignified, and empathetic manner, helping to alleviate anxiety and ensure comfort.
• Communicate appropriately with members of the multidisciplinary team, contributing to smooth handovers and coordinated care.
• Maintain a high standard of personal conduct and clinical care in accordance with CHG policies and the NMC/HCPC codes.

We have an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join their team of staff in theTheatre department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Assist in delivering safe and effective care across the theatre department, supporting patients throughout their surgical pathway.
• Prepare theatres for procedures, including equipment checks, stock preparation, and ensuring the environment is clean and ready.
• Engage with patients in a respectful, dignified, and empathetic manner, helping to alleviate anxiety and ensure comfort.
• Communicate appropriately with members of the multidisciplinary team, contributing to smooth handovers and coordinated care.
• Maintain a high standard of personal conduct and clinical care in accordance with CHG policies and the HCA framework.
• Conduct all work in line with guidance from the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) codes, as relevant to the role.
