Circle Health Group is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join the Theatre team at Huddersfield Private Hospital. This full‑time role covers 37.5 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern. The salary is £24,947 per year, with a range of employee benefits and ongoing professional development.

Based in Huddersfield, you will work alongside nurses and doctors to ensure safe, compassionate patient care in a busy theatre environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care or health support role.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care and mobility.
• Help patients with eating, drinking and nutritional support, documenting intake where appropriate.
• Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and relatives.
• Record routine observations such as BP, pulse, respiration, temp, SpO2 and glucose levels (after training).
• Support basic clinical procedures, including wound care setup and catheter care.

We have an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join their team of staff in theTheatre department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care, and mobility needs, respecting their preferences and dignity.
• Help patients with eating, drinking, and nutritional support, including documenting intake where appropriate.
• Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and relatives, creating a caring and safe environment.
• Carry out and accurately record routine observations such as blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature, oxygen saturation, and blood glucose levels (after appropriate training).
• Support basic clinical procedures, including wound care setup, assisting with catheter care, pressure area prevention and mobility aids.
• Prepare and maintain clinical areas, including trolleys, beds and equipment in readiness for patient use.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, therapists and admin teams to support safe and efficient patient care

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Previous experience in a care or health support role (hospital, care home, community or domiciliary).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a caring, compassionate attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and escalatie concerns appropriately.
• Basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
• Physically able to undertake duties including moving and handling tasks.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification) desirable.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, infection control and confidentiality procedures.
