We are looking for Healthcare Assistants to join our teams at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. We are recruiting across a variety of wards and specialties within our Surgical division. Other areas may also be considered.

If shortlisted, you are invited to our recruitment event on Saturday 12th July in Shrewsbury. Further details will be provided to successful candidates. On the day, you'll meet ward managers, learn more about life at SaTH, and have your interview.

Main duties of the job
  1. Work as part of the ward/department team delivering excellent patient care.
  2. Monitor patients and perform basic health checks.
  3. Serve meals and assist in feeding patients.
  4. Support patients with hygiene needs, including bathing/washing, and caring for mouth, hair, nails, and eyes.
  5. Assist with elimination needs, such as encouraging continence, emptying urinary catheter bags, mobilising to the toilet or using a bedpan, and maintaining hygiene after incontinence episodes.
