Job summary

Empowering U is recruiting Care Assistants to support children and adults with complex needs in Nottingham NG9. Roles include day, night, and weekend shifts with competitive pay (£12.71–£14.29/hr) and no sponsorship offered.

You will deliver compassionate, person-centred care in clients’ homes, assisting with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and daily activities while maintaining accurate care records and liaising with families. DBS check is required or in process.

Qualifications

• 6+ months care experience (essential)
• Knowledge of epilepsy and challenging behaviour (preferred)
• Caring nature and genuine desire to help others
• Strong verbal and written English skills
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living including personal care
• Support mobility, repositioning and manual handling
• Administer medication and assist with clinical tasks (where trained)
• Provide specialist care such as tracheostomy, PEG feeding, catheter care, CPAP support
• Support clients with appointments and community access

We are currently recruitingdedicated Care Assistants / Healthcare Assistantsto support bothchildren and adults with complex needs.

Available Role: Nottingham NG9

Client: You will be supporting male service users with complex needs, including spinal injuries, neurological conditions, tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, and mobility support.Shift Patterns: Days & Nights | Weekdays & Weekends Pay: £12.71 – £14.29 per hour (depending on package, shifts & availability)

About the role

Role-Specific Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of daily living, including personal care

• Support with mobility, repositioning, and manual handling

• Administer medication and support with clinical tasks (where trained)

• Provide specialist care such as:

• Tracheostomy care

• PEG feeding & medication

• Catheter care

• Cough assist & suctioning

• CPAP overnight support

• Support clients with appointments and community access (driving where required)

What We’re Looking For

6+ months care experience (essential)

Strong verbal and written English skills

Ability to work both independently and within a team

Basic IT skills for completing documentation

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
