Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant for a 12-month contract at Thornaby-on-Tees. The post is for current TEWV employees only and requires a Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2 or equivalent, plus Literacy and Numeracy Level 2.

The role involves supporting the Home Manager, completing clinical tasks, and maintaining high standards of person-centred care. The successful candidate will work alongside other Health Care Assistants to ensure

Qualifications

• Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2 or equivalent.
• Care Certificate.
• Literacy and Numeracy Level 2.
• Successful completion of Trust's full HCA Framework within 6 months of probation.

Responsabilités

• Support the Registered Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the home.
• Complete clinical requirements and tasks requested by the Home Manager.
• Identify deterioration in physical or mental wellbeing and escalate to relevant services; liaise with MDT.
• Identify signs of patient harm, abuse or neglect and report per safeguarding procedures.
• Maintain safety, privacy and dignity of residents while delivering person-centred care.
• Assist residents with personal care, encourage independence, and complete clinical documentation.
• Work with other Health Care Assistants and MDT to ensure quality care.
