Job summary

18 Week Support is seeking an enthusiastic Dermatology HCA for extra weekend shifts with competitive pay. You will work alongside experienced clinicians and under the guidance of Clinical and Nurse Leads, delivering high-quality patient care in dermatology outpatient and day care settings.

Main duties include assisting in phototherapy, minor surgery, patch testing and iontophoresis; delivering topical treatments under supervision; and training to become a scrub nurse.

Qualifications

• Experience as Dermatology HCA or related role.
• Ability to assist in dermatology procedures and day care.
• Willingness to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Dermatology procedures including phototherapy, minor surgery, and day care treatments.
• Deliver topical treatments under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Assist in patch testing clinic and iontophoresis training.
• Support clinicians as scrub nurse; training for roles as needed.
• Maintain competencies within the post's framework.

18 Week Support is on the lookout for enthusiastic clinicians to join our team. You’ll be working alongside experienced professionals and under the expert guidance of our Clinical and Nurse Leads — all while making a real difference to patient care.

Main Duties of the Role

• Assisting in all areas within Dermatology including Phototherapy, Minor Surgery, dermatology day care treatments including patch testing and Iontophoresis.
• Will be trained to deliver Iontophoresis and assisting in Patch test clinic under the supervision of a registered nurse
• To deliver topical treatments to patients attending day care unit under the supervision of registered nurse
• To assist clinicians in Minor Surgery acting as scrub or assisting nurse. Will be prepared to undergone training for this.
• To will be willing to be trained in skin camouflage clinic (according to service needs)
• Fully achieve and maintain competencies within the competency framework for this post
