Job summary

Empowering U is recruiting HealthCare Assistants to support children and adults with complex needs in clients' homes. You will contribute to compassionate, person-centred care with focus on independence and dignity.

Role includes assisting with daily living, mobility, medications (where trained) and community access. We look for caring individuals with 6+ months of experience, DBS willingness, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• 6+ months care experience is essential.
• DBS enhanced preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred.
• Knowledge of epilepsy/challenging behaviour is a plus.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks including personal care.
• Support mobility, repositioning and manual handling.
• Administer medication and assist with clinical tasks if trained.
• Provide specialist care and support appointments and community access.

About the role

Role-Specific Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of daily living, including personal care

• Support with mobility, repositioning, and manual handling

• Administer medication and support with clinical tasks (where trained)

• Provide specialist care such as:

• Support clients with appointments and community access (driving where required)

Duties include:

• Deliver compassionate, person-centred care in line with care plans

• Assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and daily activities

• Promote independence, dignity, and emotional wellbeing

• Maintain accurate care documentation

• Build trusting relationships with clients and families

• Follow all health & safety regulations and company policies

What We’re Looking For

• Caring nature and genuine desire to help others

• 6+ months care experience (essential)

• Knowledge of epilepsy & challenging behaviour (preferred)
• A compassionate, patient, and dependable approach
• Strong verbal and written English skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Basic IT skills for completing documentation
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
