Job summary

Empowering U Healthcare is recruiting dedicated Healthcare Assistants to support children and adults with complex needs in Lincoln LN4. This nurse-led organisation offers patient-centred care, training, and progression opportunities. Roles include night shifts 8:30 PM to 8:00 AM with DBS required and UK driving licence preferred.

Competitive pay £12.71–£14.29 per hour, flexible hours across full-time and part-time, and a supportive team with health and wellbeing programs and pension scheme.

Qualifications

• 6+ months care experience (essential).
• Knowledge of epilepsy & challenging behaviour (preferred).
• Excellent communication in English and a compassionate approach.

Responsibilities

• Moving & handling and repositioning.
• Personal care and daily living support.
• Meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Community access and driving-vehicle support (drivers essential).
• Companionship and emotional support.
• Deliver compassionate, person-centred care in line with care plans.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and daily activities.
• Maintain accurate care documentation.

Client:Supporting a male adult with Cerebral Palsy who is a wheelchair user.Hours: 8:30 PM- 8:00AMPay: £12.71 – £14.29 per hour

About the role

Role-Specific Responsibilities

• Moving & handling and repositioning
• Personal care and daily living support

• Community access (client has a wheelchair-accessible vehicle – drivers essential)
• Companionship and emotional support

Duties include:

• Promote independence, dignity, and emotional wellbeing
• Maintain accurate care documentation
• Build trusting relationships with clients and families
• Follow all health & safety regulations and company policies

What We’re Looking For

• Caring nature and genuine desire to help others
• 6+ months care experience (essential)
• Knowledge of epilepsy & challenging behaviour (preferred)
• A compassionate, patient, and dependable approach
• Strong verbal and written English skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Basic IT skills for completing documentation
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
