We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP Warren Hill, a category C mens prison located in the village of Hollesley.

Hours - The site currently offers 7:30 am - 5:30 pm (4 days a week) & every other weekend. Full-time and part-time applications are welcome.

Salary - This position is full/part-time, with an annual salary up to £28,690 depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK, and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

Main duties of the job
  • Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in collaboration with the patient, following instructions and training received, while promoting safe patient care.
  • Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

Qualifications required

  • NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work unsupervised following policies and procedures

Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
