A leading medical practice in Preston is seeking two enthusiastic Health Care Assistants to join their dedicated team. The positions involve providing quality patient care, conducting health reviews, and assisting with various clinical tasks. Applicants should have experience in a General Practice setting and relevant qualifications. We are looking for two enthusiastic and dependable HCA's to join our team. We have two positions available to work 16hrs per week.
Position 1 - Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu
Position 2 - Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri
Experience working within General Practice or a hospital setting is required.

As an experienced Health Care Assistant you will have pre-booked clinics to see patients at the practice. You will have experience of conducting health reviews, wound care reviews, measuring blood pressure, taking blood tests, dealing with chronic health conditions, and it would be advantageous if able to administer flu vaccines and B12 injections.
North Preston Medical Practice is a large family friendly, high achieving practice, with a dedicated team of caring staff. You will be a member of a very dedicated team which includes 5 GP Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 3 Practice Nurses, 1 Nursing Associate, 1 HCA, 1 Clinical Pharmacist, a dedicated Pharmacy Technician Team and a robust management / clerical team.

JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: HCA
REPORTS TO: Nursing team / Deputy Practice Manager
HOURS: 2 positions at 16hrs per week

You will be passionate about maintaining high quality and effective customer/patient services. You will require excellent communication skills and must be able to work under pressure.
You will be required to cover holidays and sickness at short notice and be as flexible as possible.
Main duties of the job:
Confidentiality:
In the course of seeking treatment, patients entrust us with, or allow us to gather, sensitive information in relation to their health and other matters. They do so in confidence and have the right to expect that staff will respect their privacy and act appropriately
In the performance of the duties the post-holder may have access to confidential information relating to patients and their carers, Practice staff and other healthcare workers. They may also have access to information relating to the Practice as a business organisation. All such information from any source is to be regarded as strictly confidential
Information relating to patients, carers, colleagues, other healthcare workers or the business of the Practice may only be divulged to authorised persons in accordance with the Practice policies and procedures relating to confidentiality and the protection of personal and sensitive data
Health & Safety:
The post-holder will assist in promoting and maintaining their own and others health, safety and security as defined in the Practice Health & Safety Policy, to include:
Using personal security systems within the workplace according to Practice guidelines
Identifying the risks involved in work activities and undertaking such activities in a way that manages those risks
Making effective use of training to update knowledge and skills
Using appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards
