The Lakes Medical Practice, Penrith is looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join their team.
Consideration will be given to those seeking a HCA training role, for the right applicant with relevant experience.
This is a full-time role. Working days are usually Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays.
You will work under the direct supervision of the Practice Nurse, assisting the clinical team in delivering patient care according to practice guidelines and protocols.
Undertake and follow guidelines for tasks received through appropriate training, including:
Prepare and maintain environments and equipment for patient care, support and monitor patients during nebulisation therapy, conduct long-term condition reviews and foot checks, and administer vaccinations (B12, Flu, Pneumococcal).
Contact patients on behalf of and as advised by the GP/Clinical team to discuss test results or recall plans.
Assist in raising awareness of health and well-being and provide accurate information to patients and groups within your competence.
We are a three-partner training practice based in Penrith, Cumbria, comprising a Practice Support Team (Admin/Reception/Medicines).

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. A DBS check will be required to verify any previous convictions.
Salary ranges from £23,536.50 to £27,300 per year, depending on experience.
