Practice Plus Group - Health in Justice is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join the team at HMP Hatfield, a category D prison near Doncaster. The role is 36 hours weekly, four days a week, on a rolling rota with no night shifts, offering a pro rata annual salary of £25,557 - £29,723 depending on experience.

We provide bespoke induction, competency framework, and opportunities for regional and national career development, plus a Learning Management System to support your learning needs.

Competenze

• NVQ 2/3 Health & Social Care or equivalent is required.
• Non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good IT skills and IT literacy.
• Ability to work within a busy environment.
• Ability to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures.

HMP Hatfield is a prison and young offender institution near Doncaster for men aged 18 and over. It is split into 2 sites, Hatfield Main and Hatfield Lakes.

Hours

This role is 36 hours per weeks working 4 days a week on a rolling shift rota, Monday to Sunday. There are no night shifts for this role.

Salary

This position is part time,youll receive an annual salary of£25,557 - £29,723 pro rata depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care
• Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

Qualifications required

• NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
• A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
• Excellent communication skills
• Good IT skills and IT literacy
• Ability to work within a busy environment
• Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment
