Practice Plus Group - Health in Justice seeks a Head of Healthcare for HMP Wealstun, West Yorkshire. The role oversees on-site healthcare services, directs strategic priorities, and ensures contract targets are met within NHS England frameworks.

You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, drive high-quality care in a secure environment, and maintain CQC compliance, with strong emphasis on leadership and collaboration.

Formación

• Experience as a CQC registered manager, or equivalent registered body
• Degree or appropriate equivalent level of experience or clinical qualification
• Inclusive leadership approach embedding a culture of continuous progression and innovation
• Rapid decision-making, resilience, and the ability to work collaboratively with prison, healthcare, and external stakeholder teams
• Significant experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
• Extensive experience of healthcare team management
• Ability to influence and deliver information to key partners and stakeholders

Responsabilidades

• Provide pro-active management of the healthcare services on site. This will include maintaining the strategic direction of the service and delivering agreed contractual requirements and targets from NHS England
• Deliver non-judgemental, compassionate care within the financial framework that is safe, high quality and in line with CQC requirements.
• Deliver a highly functional clinical service, within the budget, with support from the wider directorate team.
• Lead, develop and motivate your team ensuring they receive appropriate supervision and performance appraisal.
• Be the CQC registered manager and implement internal and external policies and procedures, particularly those with statutory implications.

Salary This position isfull time,youll receive an annual salary up to £68,000per annum- depending on experience. You will also recieve a £4,000 car allowance & 10% discretionary bonus

Main duties of the job

As a Head of Healthcareyour responsibilities will vary. You will:

• Provide pro-active management of the healthcare services on site. This will include maintaining the strategic direction of the service and delivering agreed contractual requirements and targets from NHS England

• You will ensure agreed standards are achieved by leading, developing and motivating your team ensuring they receive appropriate supervision and performance appraisal.
• You will be the CQC registered manager and implement internal and external policies and procedures, particularly those with statutory implications.
