Job summary

Northgate Medical Practice in Canterbury is recruiting two compassionate Healthcare Assistants to support ENT outpatient services. You will work with clinical staff to ensure patient comfort and a smooth visit.

Responsibilities include assisting during consultations, preparing treatment rooms, maintaining infection control, and providing information and reassurance to patients. Roles involve coverage at Sellindge Surgery as needed, with six weeks of annual leave pro rata and a salary depending

Qualifications

• Two full-time Healthcare Assistant positions, 37.5 hours per week.
• Experience in patient care or healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinical staff during ENT consultations and procedures, including preparation and positioning of patients to ensure their comfort and safety.
• Prepare and maintain clinical environments, ensuring all equipment and instruments are clean, sterilised and ready for use ahead of each clinic.
• Provide patients with clear information, comfort and reassurance before, during and after procedures, helping to put them at ease throughout their visit.
• Adhere to infection control policies and maintain compliance with all health and safety standards at all times.
• Northgate Medical Practice is one of the largest GP practices in Canterbury, caring for over 21,000 patients across three sites in Northgate, Blean and Chartham. Our multidisciplinary team of GPs, advanced nurse practitioners, pharmacists and primary care nurses provides a broad range of general practice services and specialist clinics.
• 2 x Full-time Healthcare Assistant - 5 days per week (37.5 hours), Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00
• Both roles will be primarily based at Northgate Medical Practice, however successful candidates will also be expected to provide cover at Sellindge Surgery for our ENT clinics as required, including cover for sickness and annual leave. We offer 6 weeks annual leave pro rata, and salary will be dependent on experience.

We are looking for two compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our team and play a key role in the delivery of high-quality patient care within our Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) clinics. Working alongside experienced clinical staff, you will support the smooth and efficient running of our outpatient services, helping to ensure every patient receives a positive and professional experience.,

• Prepare and maintain clinical environments, ensuring all equipment and instruments are clean, sterilised and ready for use ahead of each clinic
• Provide patients with clear information, comfort and reassurance before, during and after procedures, helping to put them at ease throughout their visit

• Northgate Medical Practice is one of the largest GP practices in Canterbury, caring for over 21,000 patients across three sites in Northgate, Blean and Chartham.
