Job summary

Empowering U Healthcare in Birmingham is seeking dedicated Healthcare Assistants to support a female client with complex needs at home. This role offers 10:00am–8:00pm shifts with 2:1 support and a competitive hourly rate.

You will provide personal care with dignity, assist with mobility and daily activities, monitor health changes, and work with a nurse-led team to ensure high-quality, compassionate care. DBS checks are required or in process.

Qualifications

• 6+ months care experience (essential)
• Knowledge of epilepsy & challenging behaviour (preferred)
• Strong verbal and written English skills
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
• Full UK driving licence (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Personal care with dignity and respect
• Medication administration (including PEG/NG where trained)
• Tracheostomy care and suctioning (where applicable)
• Manual handling and safe transfers
• Behaviour support and de-escalation
• Monitoring and reporting health changes
• Providing emotional support and companionship
• Deliver compassionate, person-centred care in line with care plans
• Assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and daily activities
• Promote independence, dignity, and emotional wellbeing
• Maintain accurate care documentation
• Build trusting relationships with clients and families
• Follow all health & safety regulations and company policies

Available Role: Birmingham B43

Client:Supporting a female adult with quadriplegic cerebral palsy, learning disabilities and visual impairment.

Hours: 10:00am–8:00pm (2:1 support)Pay:£12.71 – £14.87 per hour | Days & Nights Available

About the role

• Strong verbal and written English skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Basic IT skills for completing documentation
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
