Job summary

The University of Winchester seeks a Health & Sport Technician to join the Faculty Technical Services. You will work with the team to support facilities used for Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy, Nutrition & Dietetics, and related programmes, including clinical, therapy and laboratory spaces.

You will maintain and calibrate equipment, ensure safe practice, manage room and equipment usage, and handle admin tasks to keep the facilities running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Maintenance, calibration and safe keeping of facility equipment.
• Enforce safe working practices and oversee equipment usage.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

The University is looking to appoint a Health & Sport Technician, who will form a key part of the Faculty Technical Services team. The successful candidate will work alongside the existing team of Technicians who oversee a range of specialist facilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting any activities being delivered in the specialist facilities that support programmes including Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy, Nutrition & Dietetics, Sport & Exercise Psychology, and Sport & Exercise Science. This includes clinical, therapy, and laboratory spaces and will involve the maintenance, preparation, calibration and safe keeping of facility equipment while enforcing safe working practices and overseeing equipment usage.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently using their own initiative, with excellent time management and organisational skills. They will facilitate the smooth running of the facilities by assisting in the co-ordination of space and equipment use to meet the necessary demands and perform assigned administrative tasks.
