Job summary

The Bedford College Group is seeking a Lecturer in Health & Social Care at Bedford College’s Cauldwell Street Campus. You will deliver high-quality teaching, design engaging schemes of work and assess learner progress to meet awarding body requirements.

The role also involves employer engagement, curriculum innovation and maintaining professional practice with a focus on safeguarding and health & safety. A permanent full/part-time contract is available.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 4+ qualification in Health or Health & Social Care.
• GCSE English and maths (or willingness to achieve Level 2).
• Current or recent sector experience with high performance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching, assessment and verification across Health, Social Care and Childcare.
• Develop up-to-date schemes of work and learning materials.
• Assess learner work to required standards and report progress.
• Secure meaningful industry placements and enrichment activities with employers.
• Uphold safeguarding, health & safety and college-wide responsibilities.
