Job summary

Maximus UK is seeking a Service Manager to lead and motivate the day-to-day operations of our health and lifestyle services across Gloucestershire and Bristol. You will ensure teams are trained and competent to deliver person-centred care that meets high standards and contractual requirements.

You will drive performance against KPIs, manage risks, and foster strong relationships with commissioners, partners and local health improvement leads.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant field (Health Promotion/Public Health/Social Policy/Social Sciences/Community Development).
• Experience in health or social care leadership or management roles.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor multi-disciplinary teams.
• Proven track record delivering programmes in line with contractual requirements.
• Strong budget scrutiny and financial reporting skills.
• Experience working with a range of stakeholders and partners.
• Knowledge of health and social policy, legislation and performance frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve KPIs, quality standards and compliance targets.
• Deliver service strategy to maximise referrals and meet inclusion criteria.
• Identify risks and develop contingency plans with Senior Management Team.
• Build strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders and partners.
• Create pathways with local services and community organisations.
• Coordinate reporting to commissioners and Senior Leadership on performance and finance.
• Lead monitoring meetings with external providers and referral partners.
• Develop policies, procedures and administration to support service delivery.
• Support training and development, appraisals and PDPs for staff.
