Job summary

BOWERCROSS CONSTRUCTION LTD. is seeking an Health & Safety Advisor & Workforce Training Lead to develop, implement and continuously improve safety and wellbeing standards across our projects and workforce.

The role combines site safety leadership with training delivery, ensuring safe, compliant operations while upskilling operatives, coordinating inductions, toolbox talks and competency assessments. Office-based with travel to client sites; driving license required.

Qualifications

NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent required.
Experience in construction and civil engineering environments.
Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
Experience conducting audits, inspections and investigations.
Ability to design and deliver training for groups with varying experience levels.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

Lead health & safety management across projects including site inspections, audits and reporting.
Ensure compliance with UK legislation and industry standards.
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
Develop risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
Support ISO 45001 compliance and safety management systems.
Design and deliver internal training programmes and inductions.
Maintain training records and competency evidence.
Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to improve safety culture.
