Job summary

Adept Resourcing is seeking a Health & Safety Risk Assessment and Safe Systems Specialist to lead the development, review and implementation of risk assessments and safe working procedures across engineering and manufacturing operations.

This 18-month fixed-term contract role will work with operational teams to capture practical knowledge and translate it into compliant documentation and engaging training materials.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience as a Health & Safety professional within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Significant experience facilitating operational risk assessments and developing safe systems of work.
• Experience writing formal risk assessments, method statements and safe working procedures.
• Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent written communication and document production capabilities.
• Experience producing visual safety communications and training materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate risk assessment workshops with operators, supervisors, and SMEs.
• Produce formal risk assessment and safe working procedure documentation.
• Arrange and facilitate review meetings to validate content with operational teams.
• Develop two-page pictorial summaries and animated training materials.
• Coordinate with internal or external media providers for visual content.
• Build relationships with production, engineering and management teams to ensure ownership of controls.
