Job summary

Stevenage Borough Council is seeking a Health, Safety & Resilience Advisor to join the Health, Safety and Resilience Team in Stevenage. You will support managers and staff to maintain safe workplaces, deliver practical H&S guidance, and promote a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture across diverse services.

You will report to the Health, Safety and Resilience Manager and help deliver policies, safe systems of work and resilient programmes in line with legislation and best practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent).
• Experience in inspections, risk assessments, audits or investigations is advantageous.
• Ability to communicate clearly to managers and staff at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical health and safety advice across council services.
• Undertake audits, inspections and investigations to identify risks.
• Support wellbeing and resilience programmes and business continuity planning.
